SATURDAY'S MATCHES.
JUNIORS V. SENIORS.
A MATCH will be played at North Shore on Saturday and the following Saturday, between a representative junior fifteen, and an Auckland eleven. The match will practically bring the cricket season to a close. On the same ground, and on the same dates, the final of the third grade championship will be decided between Eden A and Parnell.' The junior representative fifteen will consist of the following players j-C. If oiler, Mayall, Arblaster, J. Riddell (Waitemata), McLaughlin, Murdoch, Haase (Eden A), Doble. Moore (Parnell), Baker, Richards, Willis, O'Shea (Grafton), Young (Shore), Edmond (Ponsonby). Emergencies: Harris (Eden A), Speight (University), Alexander (Eden A), Temperton (Waitemata). All players unable to take part in the match are requested to notify Mr. P. J. Melville, care of Oarr, Pountney and Co., as soon as possible.
RAILWAY WORKSHOPS CLUB. The following team will represent Railway Workshops B against Carlton on Saturday: J. Armstrong, W. Bennett, J. Eaves (captain), A. Gedye,, G. Heiginbotham, J. Lineen, R. Lendrum, A. Rankin, W. West, P. Waters. J.. Carnahan.
ARAWA WANDERERS' TOUR. The Arawa Wanderers returned on Tuesday from their annual trip through Waipu, Ruakaka, and Maungaturoto, having played the representatives of each district. Although the/ town. team was a strong combination, it, suffered defeat at the. hands el Suakak* k* tight : trjetot*.
and Waipu by one run. The trip throughout was highly successful, r and was thoroughly enjoyed by the team. PAPAKUEA VALLEY TEAM. The Papakura Valley cricket team went on tour at Easter, and played Morrinsville on Good Friday, when they were defeated by two runs (writes our Papakura Valley correspondent). Batting first, the Valley made 123 (F. Williams 40, H. Shaw 22, J. Mclnnes 19, J. Hill 16, H. Chandler 9 not out). Morrinsville replied with 125 (A. Humphrey 32. A. Aitken 24, W. Aitken 24 not out, G. Cotton 18). At Waitoa, on Saturday, the Valley won by an innings and 16 runs, Waitoa making 34 and 17 (A. Milliken 13), and the Valley making 67 (J. Mclnnes 17. H. Muir 13. J. Hill 10). At Manawaru the visitors also won by an innings and 32 runs. Manawaru making 69 and 62 (Hawkins 17. 11. Mans hip 15, N. Howie 12. Ilbert 11, W. Wright 10). The Valley replied with 163 (J. Hill 50 not out, J. Mclnnes 34. H; Shaw 20. M. Kirkbride 12, F. Williams 9, and J. Muir 9). The best bowling averages on tho tour were: M. Kirkbride four wickets for two runs, H. Chandler six wickets for 12 runs, H. Muir 12 wickets for 47 runs, and R. Moody nine wickets for 62 runs.
