THE GOVERNOR.

His Excellency the Govebnob ': (Lord Liverpool) left for the South by the Main Trunk express last evening. He .will inspect the Yaldhurst and Springfield military camps in the Ohrietchurch district to-morrow, and on the same evening will leave again for Auckland, arriving, here on Saturday morning.

The Governor will visit Rotorua about the middle of next month. Arrangements have been made for a large gathering of Maoris to meet His Excellency in the thermal district. The date for the gathering has not yet been definitely fixed, , as it will largely depend on the movements of H.M.S. New Zealand.
