DRAUGHTS CHAMPIONSHIP.

TOURNAMENT AT GORE. [bt TELEGRAPH.— association.] Gore, Saturday. Much interest is being taken in the New Zealand and Australasian draughts championship meeting, to be held .at Gore during Easter week. Large entries are expected. An entry has been received from D. C. Calderwood, Huntly, runner up for the last championship. Hilliker, the present champion, as well as Gardner, -Lucas, and Brodie, exkjhampions, have intimated their intention of competing. A sum of £30 odd has been collected, but considerably more will be required to make the tournament a success. The intention is to give a cash prize to the winner and a gold medal, in addition, ii the prize funds permit.
