AFFILIATION CASES. The attention of Mr. C. C. Kettle, S.M., • at the Magistrate's Court yesterday was occupied by the hearing of a number of affiliation cases. Orders for the payment of 7s 6d per week towards the support of their illegitimate children were made in i the cases of John Douglas, John Murray ; and George Gibb. Ethel Mary Nealis, who was proceeded . against for failing to provide for the main- \ teuance of her illegitimate child, said that the father had not acted up to his respon- , sibilities. The case was adjourned to en- . able the father to be brought before the . Court. Judgment was given by His Worship in the case brought against William Burleigh, which has been befcre Hie Court on several occasions. His Worship stated that the evidence satisfied him that the defendant was the father of the illegitimate child. An order for the payment of ' 7s 6d per week would be made. <
