A number of letters in a pillar-box at Forest Hill (London) were set on fire to-day.

A large crowd of people assembled to-day outside the Police Court at Epsom, where Mrs. Pankhurst has been removed, and waited to see her taken into the Court. She was loudly hissed by the' crowd and cheered by suffragettes, the hissing largely preponderating.

Accused was remanded on the charge of inciting suffragettes to set fire to Mr. Lloyd-George's house at Walton-on-Hill, bail being allowed.

The Daily Chronicle says that the release of Miss Lenton, one of the women charged with setting fire to the teahouse in the Kew Gardens, and who was released in a state of collapse through refusing food, reduces the criminal law to a farce.
