FORESTRY COMMISSION.

INITIAL SITTING HELD.

[by TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Wednesday. The Forestry Commission held its initial sitting here to-day. The members were addressed by the Prime Minister (the Hon. W. F. Massey), who expressed the hopa that their work would produce results beneficial to the Dominion.

The commission adjourned, and will go South on Friday to begin taking evidence at l'nvercargill on Monday. The itinerary will be fixed at InvercargilL
