GREAT WAITEMATA SHOW.

SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE'S DAY. PEorj,E's Dat at tho Great Waitemata Show at Takapuna on Saturday was a great success. Though tho weather looked rathor forbidding at times, tho rain kept off, and a large number of people visited the pretty little show ground. Though few in number, the cattle shown were of very ; high quality.. Jerseys were tfeo best represented-, and there was a good showing of Holstein-Friesians. There was but little competition in tho poultry section', but tho birds shown were especially fine specimens, of their respective breeds. Both draught and light horses wore exhibited in large numbers, and competition was very keen. Throughout the day tho various ling competitions were watched' by a largo and interested crowd of spectators.
