A roRTHER detachment of police left 1 ' iWaihi this morning for Rotorua, where they will spend a few days prior to resuming duty at their home stations in and about Wellington A force of about •, ft dozen police, including Senior-Sergeant McKinnon, who is in charge, will remain in Waihi for the time being. , Practically the whole of the workers employed before the holidays have resumed work, and. others seeking positions underground will shortly be taken on by . the Grand Junction Company. It will, however, probably be about the end of _ March before tho water has been sufficiently reduced to permit the mines to be , fully staffed. ||| THE MINES AT REEFTON. ■ ' OLD HANDS RESUMING..
