SYDNEY'S BIGGEST DRINK.
TitE Sydney Metropolitan Water Board during the week before last supplied the largest quantity of water it has ever been called upon to deliver. The volume totalled 259,000,000 gallons—an average of 37,000,000 gallons per day. ;, The supply during the corresponding week last year was an average of 35,857,143 gallons, and in the corresponding week :■ of 1910 29,534,987 gallons. The record day's supply was given on Wednesday, December 18, 40,000,000 gallons being then supplied from the reservoir. Members consider that this amount is about as big a call as the Board is likely to have for some time.
