Strikers on the New York-Susque* hanna railway opened fire yesterday on a boatload of strike-breakers from an ambush overlooking the Hudson River. Two detectives were killed and a dozen strike-breakers were wounded. . A pitched battle followed. The strikers were compelled to retire. Many strikers were wounded.

(Received Dezcember 13, 12.10 'a.m.) New York, December 12. The militia has been ordered - to the scene of the fight. The strikers first used blank cartridges. This; was ignored, and they then fired the fatal volley.
