(BY TELEGRAPH.OWN COKHESTO^'DENT.
WAini, Friday.
Tbo more militant fedcrationists, who either do not expect to obtain work again in Waihi, or are opposed to the condition relative to joining the arbitration union, are already looking elsewhere for employment, and it is understood that several of them have already made arrangement* for work elsewhere. The announcement that miners are wanted on the West Coast of the South Island led to the sending from Waihi of a communication to Mr. Evans, manager of the Consolidated Goldfields properties, Reefton, offering the services of a strong contingent of jminers, numbering from 150 to 200. It is, however, understood that the reply received was not altogether satisfactory, as Mr. Evans intimated that ho was not prepared to engage men, pending the receipt of further information from those seeking work.
