At a Cabinet meeting to-day Mr. G. F. C. Campbell was appointed to succeed Mr. J. W. Poynton as Secretary to the Treasury.

Ditnedix, Friday.
The Prime Minister informed a Star interviewer that the Resident Commissioner for the Cook Islands would be appointed at the first meeting of the Cabinet, probably this week. The appointment of a successor to Mr. Campbell as Tax Commissioner would also be made.
