Ik reference to the Auckland telegram in regard to the General Grant expedition, the local representatives of the May Salvage Company state that the company has the necessary rights over the location of the wreck, and it is impracticable for anyone else to attempt salvage work there. It is rumoured here that a company with a capital of £1000, is being formed in Sydney, at* the instance of Captain Sorenson, who was prominent in connection with the original expedition to recover the treasure.
