The Kurow is due at Wellington this week from Newcastle. After discharge of her coal cargo at the Southern port she will return to Newcastle. Tho Wairuria, which is now on her way _ from Auckland to Newcastle to load coal for Auckland, will subsequently return to Newcastle to load .or Lyttelton. The Union- Company's steamer Maital was due at Wellington from Westport early on Saturday morning. She returns to Wjrtport Mo load another cargo of coal for Dunedin. On arrival the Southern port the Maitai will be laid up lor survey and overhaul. The steamer Southern, which recently discharged a cargo of case oil fnnn Ne* Joi* « Auckland, left Port Chalmers on Saturday•morn ing for Port Tirie to load concentrates tor Ant werp. /- The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Otaki came into port from the ponder ground shortly before noon on Saturday, and berthed at the Railway Wharf to discharge 6500 toils o. cargo. The Otaki sails about the end of the week for Wellington to complete her discharge. Tho barque Jessie Craig arrived last Friday from the Thames, after a passage of 20 days. On completion of discharge of her timber cargo, the Jessie Craig goes to Newcastle to load a cargo of coal for Auckland. The Shaw, Savill. and Albion liner Athcnic, which left Wellington on September 19 for tondon, via ports, arrived at Plymouth on Thursday morning last. The collier Kini, which has been delayed at Westoort for some time, cleared the West Coast port "at 4 a.m. vesterday for Onriiunga wirti a full cargo of coal". Sho is due at Oneliunga tomorrow morning. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Rua'hine left Lvttelton at 5.15 a.m. yesterday for Auckland direct. She is due nere at daybreak to-morrow, and will load a large quantity of general cargo for London. The Runtime sails on j Friday evening for Napier and Wellington to complete her 'loading. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion steamer Kia. Ora left Port Chalmers at 6.20 a.m. on Saturday tor Auckland direct. The vessel it due here early to-morrow morning, and is to l>e floated into tho Calliope Dock on Wednesday for cleaning and painting. The Kia Ora will then load . a large quantity of general cargo here for London, subsequently proeejding to Gisborne, Napier, Lyttelton, Pict'on, and Wellington to complete. The Kia Ora is to be despatched finally from Wellington for London on November 23, so that her wool cargo will be in time for the January sales.

TARAWERA FROM SOUTHERN PORTS. The Union Company'* steamer. Tarawera arrived from Southern and East Coast ports shortly after 2 p.m. yesterday, alter a fine weather passage up the coast. The, vessel berthed at the Railway Wharf. The purser reports that departure was taken from Dunedin at 3 p.m. on Tuesday last, the usual calls being made at way ports en route. The Tarawera sails to-morrow afternoon on the return voyage. ___ MAHENO ARRIVES LATE. After a passage of over four days, the UnionCompany's steamer Maheno arrived at Auckland at 4130 p-ra. yesterday from Sydneytsirect. She berthed at the new Queen-street Wharf, wbere I medical inspection was carried out The M3b<.iic cleared the New South Wales port at x.22 p.m. ion Wednesday last, and passed Cape. Maria Van Diemen at midnight on Saturday. Fine weather, with light northerly winds ami smooth seas, was experienced for the greater part of the passage but on nearing the Three Kings a heavy mist was met with, which delayed the vessel for over an hour, speed having to be greatly reduced in consequence. The Maheno is timed to sail at 5.30 p.m. to-day for Sydney direct. NAVUA'S EXPECTED ARRIVAL. •'A wireless message received by the Auckland radio station last night from the steamer Navua mUtes that the vessel will arrive at Auckland at 3 p.m. to-day from Suva. The Navua is to bertn at the Queen-street Wharf on arrival. WHANGAFE FROM NEWCASTLE. - The Union Company's collier Whangape arrived at Auckland from Newcastle at 6 p.m. yesterday, and anchored in the stream. The vessel was not expected here until to-day, but she has evidently been favoured with fine weather on the f passage," and has accordingly made a good trip across. The Whangape brought a full cargo of coal, and will probably berth at the Railway Wharf to-day to discharge. BARQUE PESTALOZZI AT TIMARU. A Press Association message received from Timaru states that the Norwegian barque Festaloizi arrived at the South Canterbury port yesterday from Majunga (Madagascar), after a stormy passage of 72 days. The nailer experienced some very heavy weather at times, and lost her main top gallant maafcvand a portion of her bulwarks. She brought a cargo of superphosphates for Timaru.
