Ralph (Auckland) and her daughter will pay a visit to the Continent before the latter enters on her course 'if singing. After six months' stay in London, .Miss Alda Ralph will 'proceed to Milan. Captain Lionel Halsey has Assumed command of the Dreadnought cruiser New Zealand, which enters on 'her trials this week. He has commanded tho armoured cruiser Donegal lor the past fifteen: months. The Earl of Hanfurly and Lord Roberts have both signed the ".Irish Peers' pledge that they will not accept a seat in cither House of the Irish Legislature in the event of the passing of a, Homo Rule Rill without previous reference to the country.
