Ma'aghan Barnott has written to the Auckland City Council acknowledging his appointment 'to the position of city organist at a salary of £400 per annum His engagements in Wellington terminated earlv in February, and ho could take up his "duties in Auckland at any date after that time. As February is- in the height of summer, and tho " recital season" will not commence until about a. month later, it wns decided to writ© to Mr. Barnett informing Turn'that, be need not- take up his < duties until the end of March.
