A RECORD. IN BIRTHS.
The births registered in Auu'Jand during the month of October, totalling 321, establish a record for any one month since, the Auckland registrar's office, has been opened. For the corresponding period last year there were 252 births. The deaths during the past month numbered 100, compared with 148 in October 1911, and the marriages totalled 289, compared with 247- The figures, therefore, are most satis- ; factory. . During the past month 26 murages i took place in the registrar's office, as against 25 in the month of October in 1911. and 21 in 1910. I
