LABOUR DAY.
Monday next will bo celebrated as Labour Day throughout th'D: Dominion. The Auckland Labour Day ; Committer has made very extensive arrangements for a procession,' and a picnic the Domain Cricket Ground. « The procession will start from Queen-street at 10 a.m., and all the trade unions, it is understood, will be represented. : Tho Stopford -Cup, a trophy presented each year, to' the union, that bus the largest percentage of' its. members in the : procession, will fbe keenly , competed 'Che Labour ' Day Committee, which,consists of 160 delegates from the various unions ■■ in . Auckland, - met last ' evening, to arrange various , details regarding . tho sports which are to be held in the Domain.
