BOWLING.
THE WAIHI CLUB. - ' The "Waihi Bowling Club will be represented by Messrs. J. • Vuglar, Jf. Paui, K. Vorcoo, and- N. McCrobie' in the " challenge stars;" tournament at Te Aroha on Monday next. The club will also send the following players to the official opening of the Karangahake Club's green on Saturday afternoon:—Messrs. F. Brown, Scandrett, Miller, Finney, -Wakefield, Wood, Bengo, Yuglnr, and Paul. ' CARLTON CLUB. A largely-attended meeting of the Carlton Bowling Club was held last evening, Mr. F. E. N. Gaudin being in the chair. After some discussion the rules which had been drawn, up in connection . with registration of the club under the Incorporated Societies' Act were adopted. ' During the evening Mr. Gaudin mad© reference to the fine piece of ground which has been acquired by the club between Edgerly and Fairfax Roads. The ground was well Bituated, and when properly formed and laid out would probably, bo. one of the fineßfc in the Dominion. - '
