BUSINESS DONE YESTERDAY,

The market on the Stock Exchange yesterday showed no great improvement. Waihis were in demand at 353, closing sellers holding for an extra 9d. No transactions took place in Waihi Grand Junctions, closing sellers asking 22s 6d and buyers offering nothing over 22a 3d. For Talisman Consolidateds 38s 3d was offered, sellers holding for 395. In investment stocks New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company shares Were done at 9s "on the floor" and "on 'Change," closing sellers quoting 9s 3d and closing buyers 8s 9d. Auckland Tramway* (ordinary) had purchasers at 255, sellers closing at 25s 6d and buyers at 243 9d. Wilsons Portland Cement Cempanys (ordinary) were sold at 36s 3d.
