The annual general meeting of the Waikino Bowling ' Club wa,s hold last night, when the following officers were appointed for the season: —President, Mr. S. K. Fraser; vice-presidents, Messrs. 11. Croucher and IT. .T. Field ; secretary and treasurer, Mr. T. Grant Mackandrew: green superintendent. Mr. J. McClatchie: committee, Messrs. D. Contrail on. W. 11. Ouinn, S. M. Jolly, Geo. Bell, T. 0. MeWattersj auditors, Messrs. H. Butchart and C. Truscotl; selector, Mr. T. Grant Mackandrew. The proposal that the gold fie Ids "champion of champions " competitions be an annual fixture, and that the club be subscribers to a yearly trophy was approved of. It was also decided not to have an official opening this year. The following team was selected to represent, the club in the stars competition at To Aroha on the 2Sth inst.:—Messrs. J. McClatehio, S. M. Jolly. J. Grant Mackandrew, and 11. Croucher.
At the Ellorslift Bowling Green on Saturday la«t the president (Mr. Wilkinson), on behalf of tho members of the club, presented Mr. T. N. Peek with a. leather bowl bag, suitably inscribed, as a mark of esteem and a token of their appreciation of his services as honorary secretary and treasurer of the club finco its formation. _ Mrs. Peck was at the same, time the recipient of a pretty copper vase.
