A MISSING BLACKSMITH.
HIS BODY IDENTIFIED. {by telegraph.—OWN correspondent.] i TAUM-VRtrNcr, Monday. The man whoso body was discovered in i . the river yesterday has been identified as ! William" Coot-e, a blacksmith employed at [ 'tis Stratford Main Trunk lino works at '■ Okabukara. On the evening of October 4 he left his suite named Hall, another blacksmith, and "went across the small bridge over the Onjjarne River, near the works, with the object of getting some supplies. He did not return, and was not heard of again 1 till yesterday. Several of the men from the works came into Taumarunui to-day and identified him, chiefly by the clothes. An inquiry will probably .bo held tomorrow. Deceased is from Bow, London, and is a widower, with two children in the Old Country. Ho has no relatives in New Zealand. :
