A day after 'caving Capetown she- ran into a heavy Jouta-west gale, which raged for three days. • Huge seas broke on board from all directions, flooding the vessel's decks from t'cm'to stern. Fine weather prevailed afterwards for two days, when another berry gslo from the north-west was encountered A high and dangerous sea was running, and the vessel rolled and laboured heavily, which made things anything but pleasant for those on board. The gale jubsided on September 26, and fine weather generally was met with for the remainder of the passage.
