GREECE AND CRETE.
UNION PROCLAIMED. CRETANS ENTER "THE GREEK CHAMBER(Received October 16, 12.20 a.m.) Athens, October 15. The Cretan deputies, profiting by the war, have defied the Powers and entered the Greek Chamber. The Premier stated in the Chamber of Deputies, that the Greek Government has accepted the Cretan Assembly's resolution in favour of union with Greece, which will now be formally declared. Henceforth there wall be one Chamber, for Greece and Crete together. It is not desired to change the international status, but if they are changed then the fate of Crete must be decided by force of arms. ' BRITISH TROOPS FOR CRETE. Malta, October 14. . The second battalion o! the Northampton regiment, now at Malta, has been ordered to be in. readiness to proceed to Crete.-
