Paehoa, Saturday.

The Paeroa Bowling Club opened the 1912-11 season this afternoon. There was a large attendance of local players and visitors, including members of the Te Aroha, Thames, Karaueahake. Waikino, Waihi. Dominion Road. "" and clubs. The visitors were welcomed .by the president (Mr. W. Towers*, anu the jack was thrown across the green in the timc-hononred fashion by Mrs. Travers. A match was played between teams representing the president's and vicepresident's, and resulted in a win for the vice-president's teams by 149 points to 126, appended are the scores, the president's teams being mentioned first in each instance:— ■ Marsh.
