Purnell, where it will form an appropriate companion to that lately erected to the memory of ■Mrs Cowie. Mrs. Sehvvii, who died at Lichfield, England, five years ago, at the advanced ago of 97, was the daughter of Sir John Richardson, some time a justice, in tho Court of Common Pleas. She lived in New Zealand from 1842 to 1860, during which time she was a, constant help and support to her husband in his jjreat and arduous work. There are few now remaining of her New Zealand friends, but so great was her inlluenco during the 26 years she was in the country that her memory will ever be revered by both races. The window, which is the gift of one of her New Zealand friends, has been ordered from Messrs. Clayton and Bell, and may he expected ill about six months.
