BUSINESS DONE YESTERDAY.

A fate amount of business was ilono on the Stock Exchange yesterday, and Waihi shares were again firmer. A week ago Waihis could be bought at 345, but buyers only offered 32s od, while yesterday shares changed hands at from 37s 9d to 38s to 37s 9d. A parcel of Waihi Grand Junctions was sold at 22s 9d. while Talisman Consolidated shares were purchased at 41s 3d. New Sylvias were bought at Is 5(1, and Occidentals sold freely at Is sd, while a parcel of Ross Goldiields shares changed hands at 5s 4d. In investment stocks Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency shares were bought at 9s, New Zealand and River Plate at 40s, Birkenhead, and Northcote Gas at 24s " on tho floor," Gisborno Gas at 51s, Northern Boot at ICs "on the floor," and Yoltite at Bs.
