WHAT THE WATEBSIDEBS WANT.
At the meeting of the Auckland provincial executive of the New Zealand Farmers' Union yesterday a, letter was received from the head office of the Now Zealand Farmers' Union which intimated that ib had been recommended that 44in cornsacks, with a, capacity of 1121b, be used for the carriage, of manures, the baps to have four lugs for tho convenience of the waterside workers handling them. Another letter pointed out that the Watersides Workers' Union had resolved thatfrom January, 1913, the weight of bags of all manures coming from outside the Dominion must be 1271b. It was resolved that the Waterside Workers' Union be informed that the executive was doing its best to carry out ths agreement ma do with them, viz.. that bags with manure should weigh 1401b, but that it could not agrea to the weight being 1271b. It was further resolved to inform tho union that it would bo impossible to make arrangements to fall in with the proposal to adopt 1271b bags by the mentioned. * '•' r twin#*
