MESSRS. WILSON AND WILSON'S REPORT.

Messrs. Wilson and Wilson report having held their usual sale in the. Whangarei yards on Thursday, Bill inst., when they offered a good yarding of all classes of cattle to a large attendunco of buyers, who operated freely under the hammer. The entry in beef was unusually heavy, and , comprised wine line quality bullocks and young cows, which all sold readily at prices well over vendor*' expectations, the prices obtained constituting 1 a. record for beef in Wliangarei district. Dairy stock * was also well represented, and sold freely. They quote: Best fat bullocks (heavy-weights'), £12 10s. £13, to £14 10s;-lighter sorts. £9, £9 ss, to £11 7s 6d; fat cows, £6, £6 ss, £6 15s, £7 7s 6d, to £10. Store cattle: Four-year bullocks, to £S; good two-year steers, £4 13s, £4 15s, to £4 17s; store cows, £3 ss, £3 10s. to £4 7s 6d ; yearlings (mixed), £27« 6d to £3; dairy cows, £4 10s, £5 15s, £7 7s, to £8 15s ; springing heifers, £3 IDs, £4 ss, £5 ss, to £5 12s fcd; bulls, £5 Si-'. £5 10s, to £6 10s. The Arm also report having sold privately the following lines: 140 bullocks, 400 fat ' wethers, 800 mixed sheep. They also conducted a clearing sale, on account of W. J. Wilkinson. The stock offered on account of this client were in excellent order, and being of good quality, met with brisk competition throughout. The dairy cows (Shorthorns), ranged in price from £7 10s to £9 Is. A nice lino of Shorthorn heifers, coming to profit, made from £7 to £8 ss. Draught horses, £20 to £42; hacks, £11 to £14. The firm also report brisk business in the land department, a number of properties, both town and country, having changed hands. Some of tho principal sales include: 733 acres, on .account, of Mr. S. Burridge, to Mr. 11. P. Hayward: 1300 acres, on account of Messrs. Alexander Bros., to Mr. 11. Millington; 700 acres, on account of Mr. Mcßeth, to Mr. H. Millington; "2£4 acres, oil' account of Mr. T. O. Clarke, to Mr. J. S. Pearson; 305 acres, On account of Mr. W. .1. Wilkinson, to Mr. Ix?wis.
