A meeting of the Pride of Waihi Lodge of Druids was held on Wednesday. Sick pay totalling £11 was passed for payment. The district-president, Pro. Matthews, submitted a report, detailing the progress of the order in No. 10 district.

LADIES' lIOCKET SOCIAL.

A social was held on Wednesday night for the purpose of raising funds to send tho Paeroa ladies' hockey team to Auckland.. There was a largo attendance.

LAND AGENTS' BILL.

A meeting of Land ageuts was held last jniaht, when tho proposed Land Agents Bill was discussed at considerable length land a number of amendments suggested. A proposal was also carried favouring the disbandment of tho local association and tho joining of the Auckland association. At tho "last meeting of the Hamilton, beautifying committee a society was formed comprising the following officers President, Dr. Brew-is; vice-presidents, Messrs. Homo and Worsloy; executive, Messrs. Auld, McCrea, Boyes, Chocqueel, Gribblc, Anderson, and Shepherd; secretary, Mr. Rogers. Tho meeting was adjourned to allow of rules being prepared, plan of campaign outlined, and the status of tho " iotyin relation to the Borough Council pscertained.
