A representative hockey match was played at Wanganui to-day between Wamranui and Taranaki. Wangauni won by three goals to one.
Wanganui ladies defeated Taranaki ladies by two to one.
NORDON CUP MATCH. [nr TELEGRAPH. — rEESS ASSOCIATION-.] Master-ton, Thursday. A hockey match for tho Gordon Cup was played here to-day between Wair.uapa and Horowhenua in fine weather, and before a good attendance. The borne team showed superior combination, their passing being a, feature of the match. The first spell was all in favour of Wairarapa, who scored four goals. The second spell was more even, one goal being scored for Wairarapa. The final scores were: Wairarana 5, Horowhenua nil. LADIES' TRIAL GAME. In the senior grade three more players have still to he selected for Christchurch, while the junior representatives to take part in the Auckland Provincial Cup tournament will ho chosen after to-morrow's trial. Several of tho Training College players are unavailable to-morrow on account of the vacation. ,
