POLICE COURT NEWS.
The sitting of the Police Court, yesterday was presided over by Mr. E. C. Cutten, S.M. George Sut'ich was charged that being a bankrupt, he fraudulently removed part of his property just prior to his bankruptcy. Ho was remanded until Thursday, bail being allowed in two sureties of £200 each, "and one personal cash doposit of £50. John Smith Watson, charged with stealing, on July 18, a coat and vest, valued at £5 16s, from the dwelling of A. H. Windsor, was remanded for a week. For insobriety, one first offender was fined ss, and another was convicted and discharged. William James Catchpolo was prohibited and discharged, and Joseph Koogh was fined 10s. For drunkenness and a breach of his prohibition order, Henry Albert Griffiths was sent to Roto Boa Island for 12 months. Alfred Crossley, also charged with breaking his; prohibition order, was fined 24« costs. On a charge of using obscene language in Grey-street, Owen Kenny was ordered to pay '23:? costs.
