SEVERE FROST AT WAIHI.

rough Week-end probable., [BY TELEORATH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WAnn, Thursday. Reporting at eight o'clock this morning Mr. H. B. Devereanx, F.R.M.S., states that northerly to easterly increasing winds may bo anticipated, preceded by raw and cloudy conditions. Rain may be expected after from 24 to 30 hours, and probably will be heavy later. The indications are for a very unsettled week-end.

Ono of the severest frosts experienced at Waihi occurred this morning. Although only 13 degrees were registered at the observatory, it was considerably more severe in. parts, several hydrants and water-pipes bursting.
