The wettest place in the North Island for the month of Juno was Bonnie Glen, Upper Ilutt, where a fall of 11.26 inches was recorded. This was easily exceeded at several recording stations in the South Island, whero the palm was taken by Otira, with a rainfall of 21.39 inches. Other unusually heavy records in the South Island were as follow :—Boa ley Flat, 18.64 inches; Hermitage (Mt. Cook), 15.79 inches; Manaroa, Pelorus Sound, 14.29 inches; Pakawau, 17.83 inches; Beef ton, 14-32 inches, Grey mouth j 15.28 inches Parapara t 15.69 inches.
