A HARD, KEEN GAME. Immediately tho North Shoro-Ponaonby match started Shore's forwards took charge. Woolley raced up the line, centered to Wallace, who was waiting handy and headed neatlv into the net, drawing first blood within a few minutes from the start. This reverse livened the Ponsonby team. Shore saved by conceding a corner which however was without result. Ponsonby continued to press but Bennett saved cleverly several times. Honours were even for a time the Shore's efforts being greatly handicapped owing to the fact that Ponsonby again played its one-back game only having 10 men. The reds now took a turn at attack and a, palpable foul by one of their own men being unnoticed, Webster was enabled to shoot, and scored, making the score even Both teams now played with keenness but again faulty shooting by Shore lost' this team several chances.
