All classes of ewes, Wethers, aha lam os were represented, Ewes more than maintained the prices ruling at reoeut sales, while the demand for wethers was equally heavy. Ewe lambs, of which about half-a* dozen, lots wore offered, sold at 13* for small haltbreds, to 16a 4d forth® best sort*.. Good lambs realised 13s to 13a M. average lots (mostly -wethers) 12s 6d to 133, and small, inferior lines 10s to lis. Fairly forward wethers made 16s to 16s lOd, two-tooth halfbreds 16s 2d, and two, four, and six-tooth luilibrcds 16s 9d. There was a keen demand., and prices were very linn, all classes selling, well. Prime wethers, especially heavy weights, fully maintained their values, but light and unfinished were neglected, and were chiefly bought by graziers. Prime heavy ewes were keenly competed for, ana these, as well as all other classes of ewes, showed a rise, particularly towards the end. of the sale. The range of prices was: Extra prime wethers to 275. prime 20s to 235, lignWr 15s Id to 19s 6d. extra prime owes to 24s 9tl, i prime 17s fid to 225, others lis 4tl to 17s; merino wethers. 14s Id. DUNEDIN, Wednesday. At Bumside to-day 153 fat cattle wore yarded, consisting chiefly of medium to inferior Quality. The supply was unequal to demand, and prices showed an advance of 10s to £1 per head on last week's rates. Best bullocks £12 15s to .€l4, extra to £16, medium to good £10 10s to £11 10s, light £8 10s to £9 10s; best cows ti.nd heifers £10 to £11, extra to £13 17s 6d, medium to good £8 to £9 10s, light and inferior £6 to £7 10s. Fat Sheep: 3051 penned, consisting principally of prime to medium quality wethers.
