In response to a request from the Whajigarei Union for a B team or junior representative team to visit the district, it was decided that th« junior representative team should be sent north on a date to ho decided later. The Grafton Club wrote asking that its match against North Shore (should he played at Alexandra Park, instead of at North Shore, as the Auckland' players _ found it difficult to reach the grounds in time. The North Shore, team opposed th« request, and it was decided to decline it, partly because the committee considered it unwise to l« ave the Dpvonport ground unoccupied. _ The City Club was granted permission to send its senior team to Tauranga to play Ranpfataua on July 27. ' The South Auckland Rugby Union wrote j asking 1f a,; representative match could he arranged to bo played at Hamilton this year. : Such a match would assist Rugby football in the district, against tho heavy opposition it was experiencing from the league movement. It was decided to offer a match on July 27. . < The New Zealand Rugby t Union wrote stating, that the Auckland Union's proposal to charge 25 per cent, of the grogs takings for the use of grounds for the country representatives' match was too severe. The high charges made for grounds had the effeet of hampering the tours of country teams, and the union considered that the larger unions should do what they could to assist the smaller ones. The request to reconsider the amount to be charged was deplined. • FIXTURES FOR SATURDAY. On Saturday the Auckland representative team will meet the South Island country representative team at Alexandra Park, ■while the Auckland ® team will journey to Dargaville to meet the Northern Wairoa representatives.
