The many Aucklanders interested in the work of the Melanesian mission will have an opportunity of making the acquaintance of the new bishop on Sunday next, the 21st instant. The bishop, who leaves for Sydney on Monday, has consented to preach at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre at 11 a.m-, and at St. Matthew's at seven p.m. The Bishop will also celebrate the holy communion at All Saints' Church at eight a.m. In the afternoon a great missionary meeting of welcome will be held in the Town Hall at three p.m., the speakers being the bishop, and the Revs- I H- N. Drummond and G. K. Moir, of the Melanesian mission staff in the Solomon Islands. An organ recital will be giveft by Mr. G. I. Allen from 2.30 to 3 p.nfc.
