The record was 308 patients, and last year's average was 258; but on Wednesday last there were 317 patients. The cases are mostly of an ordinary surgical or medical character. Infectious diseases, like scarlet fever, are very few this year, but there have been many cases of rheumatic feyer, bronchitis, and similar ailments.
