Mr. F. K. Be Castro, chief clerk of the Education Department, has been appointed secretary to the Education Commission. No time has. yet been fixed for the sittings of the Commission, bat it will probably meet in Wellington in a few days. CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION. The Civil Service Commission will com-' menco its sittings in Parliament Buildings, Wellington, on Friday.
