PAKURANGA HUNT CLUB.

Ths Pakuranga Hunt Club's meet on Saturday last wan held at Pakuranga'* when Pigeon Mountain and the surrounding country was worked. Hares being: plentiful and the weather' fine, a very enjoyable .day was spent by the members of the club, the hounds running: steadily from ono p.m. to 4.30 p.m., although one kill only was recorded. The fences met with were mostly gx>rise hedges, wire, and sapling -which were all' easily negotiated by most of the riders. Only one spill occurred, and it was not attended with any serious consequence. A special feature in hunting at Pakuranga is the magnificent views that are obtained from Pigeon Mountain. One can see Waiheke, Mottiihi, Mof.utapu, and Brown's Inland, which were made specially picturesque on Saturday last by the number of yachts and motor boats to be seen, sailing: in the vicinity. The attending members were Mr. Selbv (huntsmon), on Te Akau; Mr. P. Swaflleld (Whip), on Boxer; the master (Mr. Allen Bent), on Black Been; Misses K. Gorrie (on Skipper), jr. Gorrie (on Ratanui), McCorniiek (on Mars), Harris (on Rabv IL), E. Gill. Y. Baker, Lloyd, and V. Gilll (on Markham); Sir Robert Lockhari (on Terry), Captain Shannon, A.D.C. (on The Abbot), Captain Esteoort, A.D.C. (on Waiuku), Messrs. Redmond Taylor (on Cutler), Bullock-Webster (on Saiadin), Buchanan (on Aeroplane), Bishop (on Prince Rupert), Quartley (on Tatso), McLiver (on Noble) Fegg (on Hokonui), E. Brophy (on Phoebe), a' Boscawen (on Redleap), Dingle, Winter, Harris (3), B. Myers (on Hobart Town), Stanaway (on Reform), 0. Paque (on Biplane), Adams (on Sentrv), H. C. Gricrson (on The Joker), G. Casey (on Polo). F. Fouhy (on Dandy), 0. Dunn (on Oannonball), 11. L. Dunn (on Captain Paul) Master Gill (on Tikibere), Master Briflault (on Diana), and many others. Driving were Miss Lloyd, Mr. Southey Baker, Mrs. and Miss Potier, and others.
