MEN'S FOUKSOMES MATCH. About 40 members of the Maungakickio Golf Club took part in a men's handicap foursomes match on the One-tree Hill links on Saturday afternoon. Splendid weather prevailed, and the links were in excellent urticr, rolling having effected great improvement to the course. Some good form was shown, especially among the younger players, among whom there are several whose golf is improving steadily. Tho winning pair were D. F. Enid and N. Chennells, with a net score of 85. The boat cards returned wore those of the following:— D. F. Held and N. Chennells, gross score 103, handicap 18, net score 85. Dr. llarke and O'Loughlin, 104—18-86; M. Ward and O. B. Thaeker, 106—19—87; H. Wynyard and J. A. Peacock, 105—17—88; J. Cochran and M. Morpeth. 104—14—90; Q. Morris and C. Hay, 123—27—91; E. FEEEY CUP COMPETITION. On the Waitetnata links on Saturday afternoon keen interest was manifest in the play-off for the Ferry cap, hold last season by Mr. A. Olonston. The old greens wore in tip-top order, and the new holes ■bowed that they are improving quickly. The cup was wen by Captain Mielu, with a gross score of 90, handicap 14, net fccore 76, followed closely by A. M. Howden, 81—4—77. A few other cards handed in ,show:-C. F. Wilson, 96—17—79: W. Eight men from each of the Hamilton and Cambridge Clubs tested their skill today on the Cambridge course, the Hamilton representatives winning by 6 games to 2. The results of the matches (Hamilton being mentioned first in each case) are-— Gillies beat Wells, Winter beat J. Banks, Bond beat Muir, Seifert beat Wilkinson Bh^?R e J, (1 beat N. Banks, Swarbrick lost to Middleton, Hume lost to Dunbar, Shand beat Moßride. Gillies went round in 84, which is highly creditable play on a dimcult course.
