OBITUARY.
SIR EDWARD SASSOON. By Telegraph.— Association.—Copyright. (Received May 26, 5.5 -p.m.) London, May 25. The death is announced of Sir Edward Albert Sassoon, Bart., in his 56th year. Sir Edward Sassoon was the second baronet, having, in 1896, succeeded his father, who was created a baronet in 1890. In 1899 the late Sir Edward Sassoon entered Parliament, representing Hythe, and rotaincd his seat till his death. He was a member of a wellknown firm of merchants and bankers of Bombay and London, and was a strong advocate of an Empire-owned cable service.
