POSITION AT PAEROA.
READY TO START CRUSHING. ENGAGEMENT OF NEW MEN. ■ {JBI TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Paeroa, Friday. The Waihi-Paoroa Gold Extraction Company has made ail arrangements to. recommence work at its mill at Paeroa, New men are under engagement to take the place of those who left work this week, and the company can thus start crushing again as soon as it is ready. It was considered all along by most people that the company's employees at aeroa were working under tho conditions foverning the members of the Thames liners' Union, seoing that tho mines at Komata and Karanganake are working under an agreement with the Miners' union at Thames. The position, so far as the works at Paeroa am concerned, has now been settled by the Extraction Company becoming a party to the agreement made, and which will by consent bo macto an award of the Arbitration Court. Pending the recommencement of crushing operations, the employed! of the Extraction Company who did not go out on strike are being kept engaged. Dredging operations are still being carried on, and unless something unforseen happens the mill should be working as usual next week. •■■•■,,-
