Karamea, stating that the Board would be : held liable for the cost of repairs dn© to the steamer bumping a wharf pile when being berthed by one of the Board's pilot*. The pilot attributed the accident to an. oversight on the part of the chief officer in allowing a boatline to check the ship. The damage is alight. The Board after inquiry by a committee decided to decline liability.
