( Gardner) stated that at the last -annual-' > meeting of householders '-the question of a district high school hid been brought up. , - Mr. Wallace said a great many children, ware qualified, but were out at work, hecause their parents were not in a position '■..-•. to go to the.expense of sending them to another district high school. Tauraisga was far ahead of Kotorua in that resperi. Besides being a great convenience to local people, it would be an i inducement to outsiders to make their homes here.
