LAND FOR SETTLEMENT.
[BT TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Dunedin, Sunday. At Balclutha yesterday a deputation waited upon the Prime Minister and urged the acquisition of the Otanomomo Estate (5469 acres) and the Clifton Estate (1566 acres) for closer settlement. Mr. Mackenzie promised to communicate with the owners (Tclfor Bros.) immediately.
