MAKING GOOD CITIZENS.

; ♦ WELLINGTON RESCUE HOME. fBT TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Sunday. With the object of giving a chance in life to boys being brought up in objectionable surroundings the Wellington diocesan authorities have opened a rescue home at Lower Hutt. The building consists of six rooms, with nearly an acre of land attached, and has been leased with the right of purchase. There is accommodation for eight boys, though at present the home has only one juvenile inmate. The official opening ceremony took place on Saturday afternoon in the presence of a fairly large assemblage, among whom were Bishop Sprott, Archdeacons Fancourtand Harper, and the vicars of all the city and suburban parishes.
