The vicar designate of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Rev. Canon Richards, and Mrs. Richards, are expected to arrive from Sydney to-morrow by the Maheno.

The Revs. Boecroft and Harrison, the newlv-appointed ministers, will commence their* ministry in the Pitt-street Methodist circuit to-morrow. Tho Rev. T. Trestrau, of Thames, will be occupying the Pittstreet Church pulpit to-morrow morning and evening.
The Anglican Bishop of Auckland, Dr. Crossley, left by the Main Trunk express last , night for a tour of the Walkto parishes. His itinerary will include NgaI'uawahia, Raglan, (Te Kuiti, and launiarunui, and he will bo in Cambridge on April 29 to institute Rev. Mortimer Jones, the new vicar of Cambridge. The exigencies of affairs in tho diocese compel this tour, but it is a matter of regret, to the ' Bishop that ho must bo absent from Auckland on April 25, the anniversary, of his ' consecration.
Mr. E. Gerard, ex-official assignee of the Northern judicial district, was yesterday the recipient of a handsome gold watch and chain, presented to him by merchants of the citv in addition to the illuminated address handed to him upon his retirement from the post of assignee. The presentation. which had been delayed owing to a decision to send Home for the watch, was made, on behalf of the subscribers, by Messre. A. D. Stewart, A. Graham, and A. B.
