Tharo was strong Continental competition for all fine-haired merinos. Tho Bradford wool market ia firm. The quotations are : Sixty-fours, 25Jd; super., 243 d; common sixties, 2'Vid; fifty-sixes, 21a ; fifties, 17Jd; forty-aixes, 14£ d; forties, ISjd- - Mesara. Dalgety and Co., Limited, are in receipt of tho following cablegram from their London office, under date of April 17 ;—Wool sales continued active. Competition is brisk, and buying is general rom all quarters. As compared . with closing rates of last series, Victorian super, western district greasy wool rather lower. Greasy merino, good quality, par to five per cent, higher. Other descriptions unchanged. Crossbred wools, fine quality, a change, if any, is in sellers' favour.
